Hendon Blitz #Chess, Rapid Chess Tournaments

4th February: Hendon 'First Thursday' Blitz, 7.30pm open to all, six rounds.

11th February:  The 2nd Hendon Chess Club Open Rapid Chess Tournament.

Please tell your friends about this event!  This is the second in our series of evening rapid events, which are open to all. We hope that for club members they will provide you with some entertainment on those club evenings when we don't have a match or a blitz tournament. For visitors we just hope that it provides you with some entertainment!

This time it's just one evening. The tournament will be a total of 4 rounds of 15 minutes per player per game. We will be using Swiss pairings, and a computer.  7.30pm start, finish before 10pm. All games will be graded by the English Chess Federation.

Entry fee is free to paid up Hendon Members, and £10 for non-members. If there are any prizes, they will be modest.

To enter, please email Adam, as space is limited to 30 players. Hendon Chess Club:

Here is a list of FIDE registered tournaments in England. There will be a separate entry for each section of each event (e.g. Golders Green Rapidplay = 4 sections, 4 registrations). If you see any of mine missing, do let me know!

Scroll down to the bottom to access the archive of events.

Only games where at least one of the players has a published standard FIDE rating will be rated, and included in the rating calculations of the unrated player. Where both players are rated, the game will affect both players and will be included in the calculations for both players.
