ICSC European Deaf #Chess Club Team Championship, Liverpool 8-13 June 2011

The English Deaf Chess Association will be organising the following chess tournaments;
20th ICSC European Club Team Deaf Chess Championship
1st ICSC Open Deaf Club Team Chess Tournament
[ICSC = International Committee of Silent Chess]
Venue: Merseyside Society for Deaf People, Liverpool
Date: 8-13 June 2011
Some of the best deaf chess players in the world will be taking part in this team competition amongst  around 100 players. They include 2 Grandmasters and 2 International Masters;
GM Yehuda Gruenfeld (Bat Yam, Israel)
GM Zlatko Klaric (Zagreb, Croatia)
IM Milan Orsag (Prague, Czech Rep)
IM Segey Salov (Hamburg, Germany)
There will be 7 rounds of chess from 9-12 June 2011. It will be the first ever major European deaf sporting event held in Liverpool.
Arbiters: Peter Purland (International Arbiter); Ian Campbell (ECF Arbiter)
Spectators are welcome.

Only games where at least one of the players has a published standard FIDE rating will be rated, and included in the rating calculations of the unrated player. Where both players are rated, the game will affect both players and will be included in the calculations for both players.
