The Golders Green Rapidplay is next Saturday 11th June 2011. Norman & yElena Went and their refreshments were VERY popular, so bring some change and skip breakfast!  You can enter online or download a form and send it to me with a cheque.

Please note that if you don't collect a prize we don't send it on - you can pick it up at your next Golders Green event.

SPECIAL PRIZE - thanks to Angelo, manager of Charlie's Restaurant ( just over the road from Hendon Chess Club / Golders Green Church Hall, we have £30 in meal vouchers every month this year to award as special prizes!  If you are lucky enough to win one, we will send you a voucher.

For May 2011: Chris Davison from Cambridge won the Charlie's Pizza £30 voucher for his first round win against Grandmaster Alex Cherniaev.

As usual, use the online entry form to be eligible for the discounted entry fee. Entry online or by post is £15.00, £14.00 for Juniors Under 16, all other entries will be charged £20.00 on the day (£14.00 for Juniors and members of Hendon Chess Club).

  • Hampstead Summer Festival, 11-17 July - - this is an arts festival featuring the usual stuff - but also chess!  Simultaneous displays from CJ de Mooi and John-Paul Wallace are amongst the attractions over the weekend, and there will be free coaching for kids and masterclasses, and possibly chessboxing!

Only games where at least one of the players has a published standard FIDE rating will be rated, and included in the rating calculations of the unrated player. Where both players are rated, the game will affect both players and will be included in the calculations for both players.
