The Imperial College Chess Congress, the first central London based
congress in a while to grace the capital, is approaching fast! The
FIDE rated (and British Championship qualifying!) event is being held
at the Imperial College Union, next to and playing in the shadow of
the lovely Royal Albert Hall. There are Open, Major (U2000/U170) and
Minor (U140) sections available to enter. The venue is a short walk
from High Street Kensington, Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube
stations.
London based players can obviously book into the event and attend from
the comfort of their own homes! In addition, there is a discount
available to all entries paid by the 14th of October 2011 (next
Friday). I would encourage you to get your entries in as soon as
practically possible to take advantage of this!
