Hampstead FIDE Chess Congress U2200 (or under 190 ECF if no FIDE) 24-25 November 2012

Dear Friends,

The latest list of entries has been posted on the website
http://hampsteadchess.blogspot.co.uk/ and you are reminded that we
only have space for 50 or so players.


1st £200, 2nd £100 - these prizes will be shared in the event of a tie.

There will be AT LEAST two rating prizes of £80.00 the rating bands
which will be announced before the start of round two. In the event
of a tie the prize will be awarded to the lowest rated player.

Prizes will be increased / extra prizes will be awarded depending on
entry. At the last event we increased the prize fund by £140! No
player may win more than one prize. The Organisers decision is final.

Five Rounds, games are FIDE rated and graded by the ECF for the
national grading database. Maximum 50 players, limited to players
rated (standard rating) Under 2200. Unrated players should be Under
190 ECF, or the national equivalent. Swiss format tournaments.

BYES: if you cannot make a round (some people like to get an early
night on Saturday) you can ask for a half-point bye in advance by
informing the arbiter. Not available in the final round!

ALL MOVES IN 90 MINUTES per player (3.0 hour session).
Round Times: Saturday (1) 10.30am to 1.30pm, (2) 2.00pm to 5.00pm, (3)
5.30pm to 8.30pm. Sunday (4) 11.00am to 2pm, (5) 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
Prizes will be transferred by BACS after the event, so please let us
have your details if you have won a prize.


Please note that until you pay your entry fee, you haven't entered!

You must be a member of the English Chess Federation (GOLD category)
to participate. Only players listed on the FIDE website with nations
other than ENG will be exempt from this requirement. Ring 01424 775

£35.00 - Rated players Under 2200 (FIDE standard rating)

£40.00 - Unrated Under 190 ECF or equivalent (see this chart for
conversion formula)
£45.00 - Unrated Under 150 ECF or equivalent (see this chart for
conversion formula)
Entries on the day, if accepted, will be charged £50.00.

Only games where at least one of the players has a published standard FIDE rating will be rated, and included in the rating calculations of the unrated player. Where both players are rated, the game will affect both players and will be included in the calculations for both players.
