Hendon Open Rapidplay Chess Tournament
  • Get some practice and enter the next Hendon Open Rapid Tournament (a.k.a. Hendon Graded Swiss).
  • Four rounds, Swiss system
  • NEXT EVENT: Thursday July 25th 2013.
  • Free to paid-up Hendon Chess Club members. Guests £5.00.
  • All four games will be graded by the English Chess Federation.
  • 7.30pm start, finish before 10pm.
  • Round Times will be roughly Rd 1: 7.30pm-8.00pm, Rd 2: 8.10pm-8.40pm, Rd 3: 8.50pm-9.20pm, Rd 4: 9.30pm-10pm – although we won’t hang around!
  • 15 minutes per player per game (in other words each game lasts a maximum of 30 minutes)
  • If this is too fast for you, try the Golders Green Rapidplays (30 minutes per player per game!)
  • The controller’s decision is final in all matters.--

Here is a list of FIDE registered tournaments in England. There will be a separate entry for each section of each event (e.g. Golders Green Rapidplay = 4 sections, 4 registrations). If you see any of mine missing, do let me know! 

Scroll down to the bottom to access the archive of events. 

Only games where at least one of the players has a published standard FIDE rating will be rated, and included in the rating calculations of the unrated player. Where both players are rated, the game will affect both players and will be included in the calculations for both players.
